Senior Financial Strategy and Compliance Analyst - Pan-Pacific
LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA 94085, telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted.
TRAVEL: Up to 20% of business travel is required, primarily to the Pan-Pacific region, including China.
POSITION DUTIES:
Strategic FP&A for Pan-Pacific Markets
Lead financial planning and analysis, focusing on Sino-American financial operations and complex financial modeling for multinational corporations in the Pan-Pacific region. Conduct advanced scenario analysis for diverse market conditions in China and the US.
Compliance Oversight
Manage compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements across Pan-Pacific operations. Direct multinational audits, internally and externally, ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards and region-specific regulations.
ERP and SAP Implementation
Oversee implementation and integration of NetSuite ERP and SAP financial systems in multinational settings, ensuring international accounting standards compliance. Coordinate with IT and finance for seamless ERP transitions, system customization, and user training in a global context.
Cross-Border Financial Communication
Use Mandarin to facilitate financial negotiations and partnerships in the Pan-Pacific area, particularly with Chinese entities. Advise on financial strategies and business partnerships, leveraging Pan-Pacific cultural and business insights.
Risk Management & Audit
Implement risk management frameworks addressing US and international risks. implement Audit & Internal Control, Conduct risk evaluations, and devise mitigation strategies
Process Redesign in International Financial Operations
Lead Initiatives to redesign and optimize global financial processes, focusing on eliminating inefficiencies and enhancing process automation. Streamline Order to Cash, Procure to Pay multinationally environmental cycles.
Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) and Business Consolidation (ASC 810)
Ensure adherence to ASC 606 and ASC 810 standards in multinational financial reporting. Oversee preparation and analysis of complex financial statements as part of revenue recognition and business consolidation accounting.
Digital Transformation in Finance
Lead digital transformation initiatives, integrating FinTech solutions. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge financial technology to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance in international finance operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; or Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance or International Business.
Strategic financial planning and compliance for multinational corporations, specifically in the Pan-Pacific area. Experience with preparing SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports.
CPA certification is required. A CFA designation or progress towards it is preferable.
4+ years of specialized experience in financial management, strategic planning and compliance, specifically within multinational corporations operating in the Pan-Pacific region, including extensive exposure to Chinese and US financial markets.
4+ years of experience leading compliance initiatives and conducting multinational financial audits.
4+ years of experience in ERP implementation and integration for multinational financial systems.
Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
Demonstrated experience with US GAAP, IFRS, multinational currency environments.
International regulatory compliance and financial standards (ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 810).
Comprehensive knowledge of treasury and cash management in a global context.
Advanced digital finance and data analytics.
